Targus ASM16MBPGL display privacy filter 40.6 cm (16") Laptop Frameless display privacy filter

About this product

Want to get some work done at your favourite café or while stuck in an aeroplane seat, but don’t want your neighbours to see what you’re looking at? They’ll just see a dark screen with the Magnetic Privacy Screen for MacBook Pro® 16” (2021). Since it adheres to your display with magnets, there’s no residue left on your display, and it’s easy to attach and remove as you see fit.

The privacy screen has a viewing angle of 30° to each side so that onlookers will see only a dark screen as they pass by. Anti-glare screen coating and blue light filtering help to reduce eye strain. This portable privacy screen protects valuable information at the office and on the go.

Ideal for touch screen applications, the privacy screen features Targus DefenseGuard™ Antimicrobial Protection, which creates a cleaner touchpoint surface and works continuously to prevent the growth of micro-organisms. Unlike topically applied sprays, DefenseGuard™ privacy screens are treated with an antimicrobial additive that does not wear off and lasts for the life of the product.

Easy On, Easy Off

Expertly designed to fit the MacBook Pro® 16” (2021), the privacy screen is equipped with magnetic strips to easily apply and remove from your screen as you see fit.

30° Viewing Angle

Even in public places like hotel lobbies, aeroplanes, or cafes, the Privacy Screen keeps your data safe from prying eyes. Your content is visible only to the person directly in front of the screen and up to 30° on either side. You have full clarity and visibility, while onlookers or passers-by see only a black screen.

Reduced Glare, Even in Bright Rooms

Our anti-reflective coating reduces glare and improves light transmittance under most viewing conditions. The result is brightness that’s up to 12.4% higher than competitive privacy screens for comfortable, clear views.

Suited for Workplace or Personal Use

One study found that employees are 50% less productive when their visual privacy is at risk, and that two in three employees expose sensitive data outside the workplace**.

With more of us working in open office settings, on-the-go, or in unsecured environments, visual privacy is a critical consideration for employers and employees alike. Privacy screens add a layer of protection that encourages productivity at the same time it protects confidential information.

Blue Light Filtering

Current studies suggest that prolonged exposure to blue light - emitted by virtually every digital device we own - may be linked to eye strain and fatigue, headaches, retina damage, and other health concerns. The Privacy Screen filters blue light to reduce eye strain and minimise the potentially harmful effects on your vision.
